AIBD's New Directory

Hey Reader,

In case you missed the announcement, we have a new directory at AIBD.org/directory.

One of the coolest things about it is that there is no more form to fill out when you want to search for something.

This is because the search box is smart enough to know what you're looking for.

  • Need someone in San Antonio, Texas? Just type that into the search.
  • Need someone with BIM experience? Type it into the search bar.
  • Need to verify a CPBD's status? Simply search their name.

But as you can see, we have a lot of empty avatars.

And not everyone has filled out their specialties.

Here's how you make those updates:

Log in at AIBD.org/login.

If this is your first time logging in to the new site, click "Lost Password" and follow the instructions that arrive in your email.

If no instructions arrive within the hour, please reach out to info@aibd.org to have your password reset manually.

Your Membership Account page will have a place to upload your new avatar or update any of your information.

Please double check to make sure all of your information is up to date!

There are also all sorts of useful resources and discount codes. Active members will see these in the right-hand vertical navigation.

Below your account information, you'll also see that there is a tote/lunch bag give-away.

This is an exclusive AIBD item that is ONLY available through winning. We do not sell this item or give it away otherwise.

Don't forget to hit the Save button when you're done!

-the A-Team

P.S. If you have any feedback, please let me know! I'm working on this every day now, so there will be improvements as long as more ideas come in!

We have received several anonymous questions for today's Membership Roundtable already, and I'll share my favorites with you below. If you don't know what I'm talking about when I say "Membership Roundtable," you may have missed our previous email announcing the event. First, I want to share with you the power of anonymity, as demonstrated in this anonymous testimonial we received: "Before I joined AIBD I was just another isolated dumb [CENSORED] with my thumb up my [CENSORED] in my basement...

Hello Reader, Congrats on surviving Monday and crushing Tuesday. Now, Wednesday beckons you to take a break and step into a pattern of discovery. Welcome to the Midweek Meander. Did someone forward this to you? Please consider subscribing. For years, my modernist compass has pointed toward California. Joseph Eichler's courtyard homes and those warm, human-scaled Claude Oakland-era modernists have been some of my go‑to references when thinking about indoor–outdoor living, attainable design,...

Entertainment Weekly reports there are 91 new Christmas movies in 2025. Only 24 of them from Hallmark this year. I watched a few already. I imagine there are 3 or 4 different plot templates they all cycle through and fill out like madlibs. Good thing we've added many of our past webinars and AIBD Chapter meetings to AIBD.org/webinars. Now we have something else to watch. These replays are complimentary to all viewers, not just AIBD Members. Plus: The following events are also happening this...
