AIBD was built by designers who chose to work together to strengthen the residential design profession. As we enter a new chapter, we are looking for volunteers to help shape what comes next.

Beginning September 2, AIBD will welcome a new Board of Directors. In November, a new Council will also begin its term. These transitions create an important opportunity for members and industry supporters to step forward, share their expertise, and contribute to the work of the Institute.

Whether your strengths are in education, certification, codes and standards, governance, membership, finance, advocacy, or another area, there may be a committee or council role that fits your experience and interests. Committee service is a one-year commitment, with virtual meetings generally held monthly for 30 to 60 minutes.

Volunteering is a practical way to:

• Help guide AIBD programs, priorities, and the future of residential design
• Connect with fellow professionals from across the country
• Build leadership experience and professional relationships
• Contribute your perspective, expertise, and ideas where they can make a real impact
