Meet our Education Committee
As a standing committee, AIBD's Education committee has been dormant for a while. Newly elected board member Dennis Fletcher has stepped up to revive it with the support of Kimberly Mockert, Lyle Breeze, Jeff Fry, and Nick Smith. They will convene virtually for the first time on Tuesday. The committee will collaborate closely with the Conference Committee, the Certification Council, and the ARDA Committee. Chairman Fletcher emphasizes the importance of catching up and taking action to drive meaningful change.
Chairman Jack Butler is beginning to compile and review IRC code proposals. If you're having problems with a particular section of the code at the local level, reach out to Jack. It's possible the code needs to be clarified, amended, or removed. Amendment proposals must be submitted by January 2025 to be included in the 2024 Group B cycle.

Don't blame the technology if you find a mistake; in most cases, our emails are written by humans and AI-supported. Now and then, they are AI-generated and human-edited. Both humans and AI still make mistakes.

The result is webinar fatigue: people are overwhelmed by back‑to‑back online sessions and tired of being talked at instead of involved. That’s why we’re moving beyond traditional webinars. We’re launching something new—the AIBD Member* Roundtable—and your participation will...
