Wanted to get this to AIBD members before these spots fill up! Yesterday, I received a phone call from one of our industry partners, Home Innovations Research Labs, who are looking for industry professionals to participate in focus groups while they are at the International Builders Show in Orlando. Even if you're not attending the show, there may be opportunities for you throughout 2026 (They usually pay their focus group participants). Below is the email invite they’ve asked me to forward to you. REMEMBER! Don’t reply to this email – FORWARD to recruiting@HomeInnovation.com if you’re interested (there are qualifying questions below). Have a great rest of your weekend! Steve Mickley, AIBD Executive Director ________________ Good day, ARCHITECTS and WHOLE-HOME or EXTERIOR DESIGNERS! We want to thank all of you yet again for helping us continue our materials research throughout 2025, including last year's International Builders Show (IBS)! It's that time again! We're gearing up for our paid materials discussion groups at IBS 2026, and we need those of you making the decisions about what building materials you spec who are willing to talk w/us about what you like and need, particularly EXTERIOR CLADDING/SIDING MATERIALS used/desired for your awesome exterior elevations. We have a heavy emphasis on architecture this year, so we need a large # of you! If you, your colleagues, or members of your team are attending IBS 2026 in Orlando this month and would like to be considered for any of our paid materials discussion groups this year, please reply to let us know right away. We'd love to have your input again AND we need to get your updated numbers of projects by types for the past 12 months in order to consider which groups might be a good fit for you. No promises, but Claire and I will do our best to find a matching group for you. Even if you are NOT attending 2026 IBS, we will at least update your file for future projects this year, so we don't have to ask for this information for new 2026 topics throughout the year. *We will be holding the discussion groups in the same location as IBS 2022 - within the Hyatt Regency Orlando, located halfway between the main OCCC WEST concourse and the OCCC North/South concourse via the 2nd-level walkway Most groups have been shortened to 1 hour and 45 minutes in total, and all again pay you $300 in cash at the end of your group meeting depending upon exact meeting duration. These are fun, exciting, interactive discussions, so we need people willing to speak up but also listen to others. We'll be looking at samples/prototypes, too! Specifically, we need: Architects/Ext Designers of predominantly Starter and 1st Move-up homes (just above starter homes) from AL/AZ/CA/CO/CT/DE/IL/KY/LA/MA/MD/MI/MS/NC/NH/NJ/NV/NY/OH/PA/RI/SC/UT/VA/VT/WV Architects/Ext Designers ofpredominantly 2nd Move-up (not quite a luxury home) and Luxury Homes from CA/CT/IL/MA/ME/MI/NC/NH/NV/NY/OR/PA/RI/SC/TX/UT/VT/WA and Vancouver, Canada Architects/Ext Designers of Multi-Family and/or Light Commercial buildings from CT/IL/MA/ME/MI/NC/NH/NJ/NV/NY/OR/PA/RI/SC/TX/UT/VT PLEASE HURRY!
