We have received several anonymous questions for today's Membership Roundtable already, and I'll share my favorites with you below. If you don't know what I'm talking about when I say "Membership Roundtable," you may have missed our previous email announcing the event. First, I want to share with you the power of anonymity, as demonstrated in this anonymous testimonial we received: "Before I joined AIBD I was just another isolated dumb [CENSORED] with my thumb up my [CENSORED] in my basement hideyhole. Now I feel like part of a community with a bunch of other architecture freaks. They're a kick[CENSORED] group of like minded people who are happy to help out a fellow member with just about anything. I'm so glad I got my [CENSORED] in gear and started joining in! Bonus: they love to party, and to wander around historic districts looking at cool [CENSORED]." - [CENSORED], [CENSORED] Anonymity is powerful, and as You still have the opportunity to submit anonymous questions for today's Roundtable. Even if you don't want to be anonymous and plan on attending to ask questions, please use the form so we can keep everything organized. For this Roundtable, we will ONLY be fielding questions from the form. If you have previously submitted to the form, you will have received a confirmation message on the same page. Some site visitors reported the form giving an error, or getting stuck on "Processing." That has been fixed. If you did not receive the confirmation message immediately after submitting your question, we did not receive your question. Please submit again. If you're not sure, go ahead and submit again. I'd rather receive your question multiple times than have it go unasked. Here are a few questions we received:Use these as inspiration, or start thinking about them now and attend to share your thoughts. How do you "fire" a difficult client but still protect your intellectual property. By that I mean that, if you don't want to give them a full refund you owe them some work product. Because I live and work in a relatively small area, I often get the feeling it is more cutthroat than collaboration. What would you think could be a good strategy to overcome this and unite? AIBD membership has been basically at the same level for the last 10+ years. What do we need to do to kick this to the next level of over 2000 members vs the current level of 1200-1400? Do I really need a website? Do I really need to be marketing? I have enough business right now. What does AIBD even do? Submit Your Question (Anonymous or Not)[Submit Your Question Here »] You can submit as many questions as you want, but please submit them separately. The Event Details
