Tired of watching Christmas movies already? We've got something special this week

Entertainment Weekly reports there are 91 new Christmas movies in 2025.

Only 24 of them from Hallmark this year.

I watched a few already. I imagine there are 3 or 4 different plot templates they all cycle through and fill out like madlibs.

Good thing we've added many of our past webinars and AIBD Chapter meetings to AIBD.org/webinars.

Now we have something else to watch.

These replays are complimentary to all viewers, not just AIBD Members.

Plus:

The following events are also happening this week; don't miss them...

Tuesday, December 09, 2025 – 02:00 pm ET
QuickTie Products-High Wind and Seismic Tie Down System

Register: AIBD.org/webinars; Free
Traditional threaded rods and metal straps can be complicated to install and may not provide the most efficient, direct resistance to high wind and seismic forces from roof to foundation. That can leave structures more vulnerable to uplift, shear, and overturning during hurricanes or earthquakes, increasing the risk of damage, callbacks, and costly repairs. Attend this complimentary one-hour QuickTie Products webinar to see how their continuous cable tie-down system works, why it outperforms conventional hardware, and how a proven manufacturer can help you design stronger, code-compliant buildings.
Thursday, December 11, 2025 – 03:00 pm ET
Members Helping Members Roundtable
(1.0 Elective CE)
Register: AIBD.org/webinars; $25 or Free for AIBD Professional Members.
This roundtable offers AIBD members an informal way to tackle real-world challenges, from design decisions to business growth to personal resilience. In one session, you’ll get practical feedback on projects, new ideas to streamline your practice, and support from peers who understand the realities of running a design business.
Use
AIBD.org/RoundtableQuestions to anonymously submit any question about a project, your business, your career, or your well-being—no names, no judgment, just honest support. These questions will shape the roundtable agenda, ensuring the discussion addresses the issues members are facing now.
Friday, December 12, 2025 – 10:00 am ET
Coffee with Bernie - Navigating Retirement: Planning for Your Future in Residential Design
(1.0 P2 CE)
Register: AIBD.org/webinars; $25 or Free for AIBD Professional Members.
As a residential design professional, it is easy to reach “retirement age” without a clear plan for your practice, your client relationships, or what work should look like in the next chapter of your life. Without that planning, you risk leaving money and legacy on the table, burning out instead of transitioning, and feeling unsure how to stay engaged in the field you love on your own terms. Join this 1-hour Coffee with Bernie session to talk through succession, legacy, and redefining work with peers, so you can design a retirement path that fits your unique practice and personal goals.

How to Join an AIBD Webinar:

For non-members, some webinars are free and some cost $25.

Because you’re an AIBD Member, you get access for free no matter what.

Simply log in to your AIBD member account on the upcoming webinars page. Once logged in, your free access code will appear automatically at the top—no extra steps needed.

It looks like this:

Then, at AIBD.org/webinars, select which webinar to register for.

See you there,
Garrett Mickley, BIM-R

Get Your Questions Answered by Designers Who've Been There Here’s the truth: we’re tired of one-way webinars. Webinars exploded after 2020, and now most professionals spend hours every week in virtual presentations. We’re launching something new—the AIBD Member* Roundtable—and your participation will...
