These systems use biological filtration rather than conventional chlorine disinfection. They raise some interesting questions for residential designers:

  • How much space do they need, and how do they fit into a site plan?
  • What should homeowners understand about cost, maintenance, and water quality?
  • What questions come up around permitting, safety barriers, and different climates?

This is a conversation, not a formal presentation. You don’t need experience with these systems to participate. Bring your curiosity, your questions, and a healthy dose of skepticism. If you’ve worked on one, we’d love to hear what you learned.

Come ready to unmute, turn on your camera, and compare notes with your peers.

AIBD Members receive complimentary access to our webinars. The members-only discount code is available only at AIBD.org/webinars. Log in and get the code before completing your registration.

Thank you to everyone who participated in AIBD’s 2026 Architectural Software Survey. This year, 165 designers told us which software they use primarily in their day-to-day work, along with the supporting tools that round out their workflow. While participation was lower than in our 2023 survey, the results still offer a useful snapshot of the software used across our community. The 2026 Results Chief Architect was the most frequently selected primary platform, followed by SoftPlan, Revit, and...
